Who are we and what do we do?
The PTA has been an integral part of the school community since the school opened in 2003. The PTA is much more than just raising funds for the school. It exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school.
We usually meet once a term to discuss ways we can support the school. This can involve fundraising but we regularly look at ways in which we can bring the school and community together. You get to have a say as to what happens in school and how raised money is invested. No experience is needed. We are going through a really exciting period on the life of our school since becoming an all through school (3-19) in September of 2013, with all the new challenges and opportunities this brings.
How can you get involved?
You automatically become a member of the Parent Teacher Association when your child is at St Gregory the Great Catholic School and we would like to invite you to come along to one of our meetings. They are usually on a Tuesday evening at 7pm. We will let you know of our meetings through the school newsletter, website and by text message. New members are most welcome. So we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting. We want to involve as many people as possible in helping St Gregory the Great become the best school it can be!
If you are unable to attend meetings regularly but you would like to volunteer to help out at an event, donate items, make cakes to sell at our events, or if you have skills that would be useful then please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
